Cognition Announces the Use of Mimics

Mimics is software specially developed by Materialise for medical image processing. Mimics is used for the segmentation of 3D medical images (coming from CT, MRI, microCT, CBCT, Ultrasound, Confocal Microscopy), resulting in highly accurate 3D models of patient anatomy. Cognition use these patient-specific models for a variety of client needs and applications such as pateint specific 3D animations and fly throughs in medical malpractice cases, to outputing as 3D printed models for surgical consultation.

  • Easily and quickly create accurate 3D models from imported DICOM, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, or Raw image data

  • Accurately measure in 2D and 3D

  • Export 3D models in STL format for additive manufacturing
